Dr. Roy Loewenstein MD FACP

Dr. Loewenstein started his medical career in 1991 as a Firefighter/EMT in his home town of Fairbanks, Alaska. In 2001, he graduated in the top 15% of his medical school class at the University of Washington School of Medicine, the top primary care medical school in the country. He did his internship year at the University of Washington and then moved to Tucson to complete his Internal Medicine training. After residency, he spent an extra year at the University of Arizona as a chief resident, before joining Tucson Internal Medicine in 2005, a part of Arizona Community Physicians. In 2022, he moved to his current office at Rillito Internal Medicine, which continues to be a part of Arizona Community Physicians. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed teaching medical students and residents. He is a core faculty member for the Tucson Medical Center Internal Medicine residency, which starts the summer of 2023. He is a past president of the Pima County Medical Society and has served on many boards of medical organizations, including Arizona Community Physicians and the Arizona Medical Association.

Monika Lynn

Adult Gerontology Nurse practitioner  AGNP -C

Monika moved to Tucson two years ago from Texas to be closer to family and joined the practice with ACP January 2021as an Adult /Gerontology Nurse Practitioner AGNP-C. Her Medical education started with Texas Tech Health Science Center for her BSN in which Monika worked two years in different Magnet status hospitals as post surgical trauma nurse and later finished her MSN at University of Texas Houston Health Sciences Center in  December 2018.  Born in Sweden, raised in Australia in a small  island called Tasmania immigrated to the United States 23 years ago. Monika's career has been in Finance ( Financial Analyst), Music ( professional musician and vocalist) and fulfilling her life long dream as a nurse practitioner. Monika is very passionate about being an advocate for her patients, actively listening to their concerns and collaboratively developing an individualized care plan. Monika is active in the Arizona Nurses Association, the Southern Arizona Advanced Practice Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has also co-authored a Systemic Review with the American Journal of Nursing concerning food insecurity/medication costs relationship with medication non-adherence in older adults- Published in June 2020. Monika enjoys the outdoors, hiking trails, playing musical instruments and singing. She also loves painting/creative designing as well as reading. In her spare time, you will find Monika with family and friends.
